Add / Update Driver and Root Cause

Overview

Business requests updates to Drivers and Root Causes.

Steps for deactivating existing Drivers/Root Causes:

  1. Ensure no open intake forms are currently using the Drivers/Root Causes we are deactivating
    • If so, reach out to business to ask if we should wait for those audits to close or whether we should update the Drivers/Root Causes to a different one
  2. If only a few Drivers/Root Causes need to be deactivated, use the Reference Setup webpage to set the relevant values to inactive
  3. If many Drivers/Root Causes need to be deactivated, update to inactive using a SAFE script

Steps for adding new Drivers/Root Causes:

  1. If only a few Drivers/Root Causes need to be added, use the Reference Setup webpage to add new values
  2. If many Drivers/Root Causes need to be added, add using a SAFE script
  3. For Drivers ensure Option1 and Option7 are set
    • Option 1 is 0 or 1 depending on if the Driver is BO Owned or not
      • Option 7 is the inspection type no we are adding the Driver for
  4. For Root Causes ensure Option7 is set
    • Option 7 is the inspection type no we are adding the Root Cause for
